Iceland has been a Member State of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) since 2013. Since then, IOM Finland is responsible for implementing a wide range of migration-related activities in Finland, Sweden and Iceland.
Since 2016, IOM's activities in Iceland focus on Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) Programme in cooperation with Iceland’s Directorate of Immigration.
