Reception Centres to Aid Vulnerable Migrants and Asylum Seekers in Greece
07 December 2012 – An agreement signed between the EEA Grants and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) will provide EUR €4 million to support non-governmental organisations in Greece that run reception centres to offer improved services to vulnerable asylum seekers, especially unaccompanied minors. The new funding is part of a EUR 20.9 million allocation from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants mechanism to improve the asylum and migration sector in Greece.
